Many people are a bit skeptical to venture into stock investments worried that their money will just be put to waste (especially in this market). Focusing on top dividend paying stocks, however, is a strategy that will certainly grow your portfolio over time while building a sustainable source of cash flow.
You can?t simply just chase the highest yielding stocks, however. Many companies are simply high-yielding because their share prices have been beaten up recently while the dividend payment has stayed the same (for now). The problem is, though, that these types of companies are likely going to cut their dividend payment altogether.
